SDN NFV World Congress Agenda is now live!
Established in 2012, SDN NFV World Congress creates the principal market focus for network innovation, and has grown to become the world's largest meeting place for carrier Network Transformation industry leaders.
1,700+ executives, decision makers, leaders and activists meet, learn and exchange knowledge face-to-face in The Hague, watched by a global audience via live webcast.
Launched in the spring of 2012 - the first global SDN conference - SDN NFV World Congress is the industry leading debating forum and showcase for the rapidly growing and massively influential, Software-Defined Networking and Network Functions Virtualisation industries.
Now, with over 100 supporting partners and sponsors, and 1,700+ delegates in 2017, the World Congress has established itself as the principal network innovation conference in Europe for the global telecommunications industry. The agenda has expanded in a judicious manner to embrace areas of Network Innovation with the most relevance and urgency for carriers today. This year's Congress focuses on 3 primary themes:
1. Technology – Cloud-Native NFV, Hybrid, Interop, SDN, White box, Security
2. Automation – AI, Zero Touch, Orchestration, Programmable Cloud, OSS/BSS, API
3. Business – 5G, Services Transformation, SD-WAN, Application use-cases
Dedicated Forums are organised at this year’s Congress, in order to bring focus to key developmental topics, to form a unique meeting point for these communities, and to support collaboration to advance the work:
1) Network Edge Forum
New Edge Computing and Open Access architectures foresee a fundamental recasting of carrier networks, utilising NFV+SDN and Cloud technologies, in order to support 5G, IoT, next-gen CDN, Automotive, Smart City use-cases and applications. Multiple industry initiatives like Fog Computing, Open Edge, Access 4.0, MEC, CORD, M-CORD propose new approaches for supporting scalable capacity and low latency applications, based on new DC and Access distributed architectures.
2) Open Telco Forum
Open Telco Forum provides a dedicated session to focus on key areas of open networking. Ecosystems, interoperability, certification, open API standardisation are all essential aspects of the future network – as well as new paradigms such as DevOps and open source software. OpenStack for NFV, white box, bare metal, disaggregated networks, OpenStack networking, new concepts like P4 language – all form a melting pot of network innovation. The current status and progress of relevant open source projects will be examined, and areas where further collaboration is needed will be debated.
3) 5G Forum
5G Forum provides a comprehensive agenda for mobile networking innovators, with a key theme of the influence of new NFV+SDN architectures on 5G network infrastructure. Network slicing, ultra-low latency services, zero touch management & orchestration, end integration, multi-domain operation, API exposure to end-users, are key topics. Dynamic control, hybrid management, multi-domain orchestration, as well as new techniques for capacity expansion and low latency for fronthaul and backhaul, are key topics under development.
While Layer123 expands the expo and agenda each year, the World Congress has been consistently over-subscribed, making it the industry's first choice event. SDN NFV World Congress is set to grow again in 2018.
Join the real market-makers, leaders and activists and be part of the community and positive energy. We look forward to working with you again in 2018!
Launched in October 2017!
